White House Oversight 101 -- 3:45 - 5:15 pm on Friday, May 7, 2021

This panel will provide an introduction to various forms of White House oversight. Topics will include the role of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), including preparation of the President's budget, centralized regulatory review and information policy, legislative clearance, review of executive orders, and OMB's wide-ranging management functions, as well as the role of the White House policy councils in overseeing the executive branch. Participants will learn how these policy oversight processes work in practice.
