As my fellow bloggers have mentioned, the General Services Administration is considering how to modernize the eRulemaking program. The second of two public meetings is coming up on April 30 from 2pm-4pm ET. It will be held entirely online and it’s got a great lineup that packs a lot into 2 hours. Registration is easy and free.
Featured speakers:
- Dominic Mancini, OIRA
- Jessica Salmoiraghi, GSA
- Jarilyn Dupont, FDA
- Tom Sabo, SAS Institute
- Carey Johnson, EPA
- Michelle Cosby, American Assoc. of Law Libraries
- Elizabeth Kowalewski, GAO
- Hudson Hollister, HData
Topics include management of mass and fake comments, regulatory analysis, and stakeholder use of Regulations.gov data.
GSA is accepting written comments on these and more topics until June 5, 2020. The ABA AdLaw Section filed comments back in March.
Also, the GSA office overseeing this initiative is hiring for a Director of the Regulatory Information Service Center (GS-15), which works closely with OIRA, and program analysts (GS-13/14). Folks on the lookout for a federal jobs at the intersection of regulation and tech should not sleep on these postings; they close soon. (Because of the grade levels these postings are not likely suitable for new grads without substantial work experience.)
