Matias Vesperoni

Matias Vepseroni is a PhD candidate in Economics at the George Washington University and a Policy Analyst at the George Washington University Regulatory Studies Center. Before arriving at the center he earned his BS in Economics from the University of Maryland in College Park, Maryland and MA in International Trade, Finance, and Development from Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona, Spain. In 2023 he worked as a Research Trainee for the Fiscal Policy Division at the European Central Bank. His research interests are in international macroeconomics with a focus in finance and trade. In the regulatory space his research interests are in financial markets and banking regulation as well as tariffs, sanctions, and trade agreements.
